I’ve been making things since 1980 — starting with ink on mesh as a screen printing apprentice, and never really stopping.

By the late 80s I was running a textile printing business and wrangling a 386 with 2MB of RAM, teaching myself this new “computer graphics” thing. That turned into digital pre-press, then web design, then eight years freelancing as a Flash developer when Flash was king. These days I design for the signage industry — and spend my nights building whatever catches my curiosity.

MekoSix is where all of that lands. Fonts engineered from scratch, hand-spaced and kerned pair by pair. Automation workflows that deliver daily emails — weather, cats, art — to inboxes around the place. And lately, a growing stable of native apps: EyeQ (a menu-bar break reminder that knows when not to interrupt), Slate (a scratchpad in a single HTML file), WebP Hero (drag-and-drop image conversion), and DT Explorer (full-quality exports from Draw Things projects). That’s the direction from here — more apps, more fonts, more experiments.
